Private surveillance has been organized since the 60’s in order to fight urban violence that expands daily.
The regularization of the economic and professional activity based on the Brazilian Federal Law 7.012/83, 1983, regulates the activities of the sector. In 1979 the first Private Security Association was founded, being recognized only in 1984.
